 Nigerian Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has given fans a rare glimpse into her thoughts on love, revealing the kind of partner she desires and why she’s struggled to find him.

In a recent viral video circulating on social media, Savage candidly stated her admiration for British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, whose real name is Joseph Junior Adenuga. “I want a guy like Skepta, but I keep getting funny-looking men,” she joked, drawing laughter and sparking conversation online.

The award-winning singer, who has remained single since her 2018 divorce from music executive Tunji Balogun (also known as Teebillz), has largely kept her romantic life private. “He announced the separation online. I didn’t end the relationship, but I was the one being blamed,” she said. “Our son was just a few months old, and I was still adjusting physically and emotionally. Not many people checked on me everyone went to support him.”
